Seed Collection

At the end of a long, beautiful and bountiful season of gardening your work for the next season can begin.  By collecting seeds from your fruits, vegetables, and flowers you can have a head start on another bounteous harvest and even have plants or seeds to share.

This (2007) was my first season truly learning about gardening in earnest.  It took a lot of YourDiscountBookStore.comresearch and getting down and dirty in the mud to learn what was what.  Here I’ll post seeds information on seeds I’ve actually collected.  The important things to know are where to find the seed on the plant, what they look like, how to dry them, and where to store them until next year.

Sometimes our “seed collection” takes the form of buying more seeds than we can plant.  If this is the case for you as it has been for me in years past, please, post your seeds for trade on our forum. Also, please visit my trade list for my list of plants, seeds, non garden items and wanted items.
